HISTORY
Our story
MYJEN Consulting LLC was founded in 2009 in Fort Washington, Maryland, in the heart of the National Capital Region. The firm grew out of a single, hard-won conviction from years inside federal IT programs: organizations are rarely failed by a lack of technology — they're failed by technology they don't fully use. From that belief, MYJEN built a practice that leads with optimization, delivers the full lifecycle (from tuning existing systems to procuring, integrating, and migrating new ones), stays vendor-neutral by design, and treats every client's budget as if it were our own.

Mike Jenkins — Founder, President & CEO
Michael Jenkins, MBA, PMP, CISM, is Founder, President & CEO of MYJEN Consulting LLC and brings 25+ years in IT. His career spans hands-on delivery and leadership across federal environments. He has personally supported engagements at the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), the Federal Retirement Thrift Investment Board (FRTIB), the U.S. Department of State, and the U.S. Department of Defense (Missile Defense Agency and the Pentagon), in his prior roles with other employers. This is key personnel experience under FAR 15.305(a)(2)(iii), not company-level prime past performance.
A U.S. Army veteran, Mike carries the standards of his service directly into the firm: recommend what the client needs, not what's easiest to sell. That principle is the reason MYJEN's advice stays vendor-neutral — and the reason clients can trust us with both the systems they own and the ones they're about to buy.
